Silverton Fun Run

For the last few years, our family has participated in the Silverton 5K fun run.  It has become a great tradition for us and one that will be missed.  I'm thinking that we probably won't find many 5Ks in Uganda to participate in. :)

This year, Jimmy and a great friend of his, Lucus ran in the kid's 1 mile race.  Eric, Timothy, Katelyn, Matthew, Rebecca and I, along with some great friends from church--Heather and Ben--all ran the 5K.

 Katelyn took first for her age group (at 25:00) and Rebecca won 2nd (at 30:19).  They were both in the girls 10 and under.  Matthew took 3rd for 10 and under boys (at 29:26).  Timothy aged up this year to the 11-15 year old category and placed 6th (at 24:47)...it's such a bummer to have to grow up! :)  But it's all worth it, when your dad can no longer keep up with you...lol! :)

It was a great day and another good family memory.  :)
