December Photo Project: Day 25

Christmas morning.  All was quiet.  I enjoyed the few moments to reflect on the reality of Christmas...Christ with us.  God coming to us because he loves us and desires a relationship.  Everything else yesterday...the fellowship, the food, the Christmas tree(s) found on the side of the road in Hyde County...they are just the icing on the cake.

Merry Christmas, dear ones!!

December Photo Project: Day 24

These pictures are a bit out of order, but I wanted to get them on the blog.  On our last day of the family reunion, we went to Jamestown Settlement.  It was a great time.

In Uganda, we had been studying Phoenician glass blowing and in turn, the kids (especially Denise) had become interested in more modern glass blowing too.   Jamestown had a glass blowing shop, so it was really exciting for them to be able to see it in real life.

At the fort, the kids tried on armor.

And saw lots of fun demonstrations.

December Photo Project: Day 23

The place that we stayed had a lovely indoor pool.  Lots of great space for lots of kids to get lots of energy out!

December Photo Project: Day 22

Wednesday night we had a dinner in honor of Dad and Mom's 40th wedding anniversary.  It was a lovely night to reflect on how gracious God has been and the fun (and funny!) memories.

Eric and Matt did another edition of "Hyde County Hijacks" (It's a skit that they have done at other family functions)

December Photo Project: Day 21

We were able to take family pictures this week.  Such a fun group that the Lord has blessed us with.  We also had an anniversary dinner this night, but I'm putting those pictures on my next post.  We were super thankful for the local PCA church referring a person to us who was willing to take all the pictures.

The kids made hilariously awesome faces for this picture.

Grandparents and all their grand kids.

 Eric's parents, siblings and spouses.

Our family:

Next in line is Eric's sister, Janine. (Number 7 is due this spring)

Then his sister Carla (number 8 is due very soon!)

Then his brother, Matt:

Then Elyssa:

All the grand kids in birth order:

Love this group!

A few candids while we were taking the pictures.

Auntie Lis is such a good friend to all her nieces and nephews and absolutely adored.

December Photo Project: Day 20

Just another daily dose of cuteness... my nephews...thing 1 and thing 2.  They still answer honestly when we ask them who is who. :-)

December Photo Project: Day 19

Lots of visiting~  We cherish the time that we have together and are reminded yet again, how we will never be satisfied this side of eternity.  We have a week all together, but it still will never be enough to make up for all the time apart while all of us serve God where we are called.
